BIOGRAPHY
"The Revision", the long anticipated album from San Francisco duo, Evenodds, launches nationwide on July 12th 2011. Featuring collaborations from Music For Animals, R.O.D., Allen Anthony, Bambi the Madam, C-Dubb ATNT and MacArthur, "The Revision" is a musical snap shot of the collective struggle and progression of group members Money Alwayz and D.E.O.
With the release of their first official LP, Evenodds shot the video for “Like My Style” inside San Francisco’s retail landmark, Blvck Scvle™.
“We chose the Black Scale store for the shoot because we appreciate the notion of a counter hip-hop culture that challenges the status quo and social norms,” says D.E.O. “Our brand and the Black Scale brand have that in common.”
Inspired by overuse of the cliché term “swag” from hip-hop notables like P Diddy, scenes from “Like My Style” feature M.A. in a “F*&% Swag” t-shirt. “Swag’ has morphed into something that it wasn’t to begin with. It stopped being an expression of ones originality and became yet another caricature or role to play,” says Money Alwayz. “This video, like the entire album, is a true manifestation of our individuality in this industry.”
Although this is the seventh project for Evenodds, "The Revision" is their first official LP. This 15-track album is Bay Area hip-hop at its core however the concepts are universal. The blunt lyrics, quality production and cleaver delivery create the honest sound many have come to expect from Evenodds.
