Being a "Pretty Girl" is the new movement, and the leader is JIMMIE REIGN.
Nearly three years ago, California native Jimmie Reign- a songwriter of hits never heard, singer of songs then only in her mind, embarked on a journey into the Bay Area's music scene. Quickly gaining a fan base by opening shows for well known artists (Goapele, Jagged Edge, Latoya London, Eric Roberson), her reputation became that of a young woman who was all about business on stage- a "Go Girl". Her mixtape "Go Girl" hosted by Big Von of 106 KMEL and sponsored by Singersroom.com and Right On! Magazine, quickly became a fan favorite and to this day continues to be downloaded. Now with a more mature sound and way of thinking, Jimmie wants to expand from the Bay Area to beyond. Beginning the metamorphosis into a "Pretty Girl" for Jimmie has a special meaning. "I was broken for a very long time which resulted in me doing a lot of things that were unhealthy emotionally". The petite framed beauty continues, "I want women to know that being pretty isn't just on the outside. It starts from within first. It's about having your own power and loving you for you". Jimmie has modeled for Michael Antonio Footwear Group, graced the covers of various magazines, and become more involved in humanitarian efforts. Tirelessly working at her craft and balancing motherhood at the same time would make some want to give up- Jimmie says it only makes her stronger.
With hits like "Can't Go" (featuring The Jacka, Big Rich, and Balance) and "Make You Wait" under her belt, Jimmie continues to write and record for major label artists. Pleasure P (Atlantic Records), J. Valentine (City Boyz Music), Damon Eden (Capitol Records), and E-40 (Jive) have all at some point in time relied on Jimmie's singing and songwriting skills to enhance their projects.
An exciting live show, a powerhouse voice, and striking looks have earned Jimmie the right to be called a complete package...she's happy just being called a pretty girl.
